Our Story

After a years-long process, a coalition of nonprofits and community members under the Indigenous Circle of Flagstaff have acquired access to the public works building from the City of Flagstaff to create an Indigenous Community Cultural Center. The Keepers of the Indigenous Community Cultural Center is the new name and future nonprofit center for the public works building that Flagstaff City Council has granted access to as an Indigenous center. Once access to this future community center was accessed, volunteers and the community gathered to start filing this as an official nonprofit. However, in the meantime, we are a coalition of local groups, community members, and students. To discuss visions and purposes, we want to bring to life in, above, and within this community center to restore and create a home for everyone who visits utilizes, and surrounds the center.
